@FakeJimJoyce was established and being retweeted, the snarky #JimJoyceFacts hashtag began propagating, and the 28-year-old pitcher from Venezuela (for reasons still unclear) was being referred to Lady Galarragaga. Even tech pundit (and diehard Yankees fan) John Gruber weighed in, calling the moment a “travesty” and “the worst call ever” in the history of the sport.
